Musee L'Orangerie

Monet’s water lilies and willows; need I say more.  The paintings are from the scenery of Monet’s own gardens. They were his main focus of artistic work for the last thirteen years of his life. I never realized how beautiful and large these wall paintings are. The rich cool tones of purple, blue, and green highlighted by soft yellows and white had me captivated. Textbook pictures will never be able to do these paintings justice.
